Chewings Fescue

Chewings Fescue has no rhizomes (bunchgrass), but it has the highest density of the three types. When using commutata in mixtures, it is often necessary to add one of the other types of fescue with rhizomes (or Poa pratensis) for regrowth. It has better winterhardiness than other fescues. It is excellent for high traffic areas, especially golf greens.

Chancellor

Chancellor chewings fescue is an improved variety developed by OreGro research. Exhibiting excellent texture and density, Chancellor is an excellent choice for lawns, parks, golf courses, and sports fields. 

Leeward

Leeward Chewings Fescue (DLFPS-FRC/3057) Festuca rubra ssp. commutata has overall turf quality and especially high marks for disease resistance.

Longfellow 3

Longfellow 3 Chewings Fescue is an elite variety with improvements in overall turf quality and especially high marks for disease resistance. It will perform well in traffic, heat and shade.

SR 5130

SR 5130 strong creeping red fescue is a highly adaptable variety because it thrives in both sun and shade and high or low maintenance.
