ABOUT DLF

Developing, producing and distributing higher-quality seed is an endless pursuit embraced by everyone who works for, or with DLF. It’s a unifying purpose which transcends geography and connects our people, brands and businesses across North America and beyond.

Innovation is the cornerstone of our success, and it starts with our global R&D program, a massive enterprise comprising dozens of plant breeding stations and hundreds of testing sites around the world, as well as a network of collaborative partnerships with top research institutions. Most people are surprised to learn it takes up to 15 years to create a new seed variety, yet behind the scenes, our researchers are tirelessly evaluating thousands of trial plots each year to ensure only the best products carry the DLF name.

Once tested and approved, the baton gets passed to our grower partners in the major seed production areas of the world, like the Willamette Valley (Oregon), Columbia Basin (Washington), Peace River Valley (Alberta) and Red River Valley (Manitoba). Upon harvest, the seed is then transported to our manufacturing sites and distribution centers strategically located across Canada and the US… ready to meet the needs of our customers.
