Alfalfa

Alfalfa is a well-known and grown forage crop in many regions of the world. The crop is divided into dormancy rates which refers to its winter-hardiness. The lower the dormancy rate the better the winter-hardiness. It thrives very well on well-drained soils and due to its deep tap root it can withstand severe drought. It is a productive plant with high nutritional value. To grow and thrive Alfalfa needs a soil with a sufficient content of lime potash and phosphate.
