DIVISIONS
ONE DLF
DLF’s Strategic Business Unit (SBU) in North America consists of three divisions – Wholesale, Distribution and Consumer Products – that operate across the United States and Canada.
Shared services bond the three divisions together and enable us to function as a true North American business unit. Each division benefits from our network of seed production, manufacturing and distribution centers strategically located across the United States and Canada. It doesn’t matter where our people sit – whether behind a tractor, forklift or computer screen – as every person in our organization is focused on excellence and meeting the needs of our customers.


WHOLESALE
The Wholesale Division sells forage, turf and other seed products under the DLF brand to wholesale distributors domestically and to more than 80 countries globally. It also oversees DLF’s field production in North America and our seed enhancement program headquartered in Oregon.
Seed Research by DLF™ is a supplemental wholesale product brand in North America offering a full range of premium turf products and services to address the unique challenges of the professional turf market.


DISTRIBUTION
The Distribution Division sells various seed products – forage, turf, cover crop, food plot, natives, reclamation, and corn (Canada only) – to agriculture retailers, co-ops, municipalities, facility managers, landscapers, farmers and others across North America.
In the United States, the distribution division sells under La Crosse Seed, a DLF Division – a trusted name in the Midwest known for premium seed products, on-time delivery, accessible experts and industry-leading customer support.
In Canada, the distribution division sells under the DLF brand, in addition to Premier Pacific Seeds, an industry leader for custom grass seed mixes and other products in British Columbia with a reputation for high-quality service and support.
Our key distribution brands in North America include Forage First® forage seed, Earth Carpet® turf seed, Soil First® cover crop seed and Deer Creek Seed® wildlife and food plot seed. In addition, Alforex Seeds® alfalfa seed and ForageMax® forage seed are distributed exclusively in the United States and Canada, respectively.
CONSUMER PRODUCTS
The Consumer Products division sells a variety of retail products under the DLF and X-Seed brands, as well as many private label brands and co-packaged products.
In the United States, the division sells premium lawn seed, specialized patch products, forage seed and wildflowers directly to retail customers nationwide. Key consumer brands in the United States include X-Seed®, ForageMax® and Mastergreen®. DLF also sources several private brands and national private label products for key customers, including many food plot seed mixtures.
In Canada, the division is supported by a long-term contract with Premier Tech Home & Garden. DLF sources and packages turf seed products, while Premier Tech is responsible for selling, marketing and distributing them to major retailers like Canadian Tire, The Home Depot, RONA, Wal-Mart, Home Hardware, Lowes, and Loblaws. Key consumer brands to buy in Canada include CIL, Golfgreen, Vigoro, ProMix and Schultz.
