Eagle Scout Project Restores Native Habitat with Help from La Crosse Seed

When Eagle Scout candidate Westen Schabler set out to make a difference in his community, he chose a challenge that would leave a lasting impact: restoring a ¼-acre section of Cool Creek Park in Carmel, Indiana. The area had become overrun with invasive honeysuckle, blocking views of the creek and crowding out native plants. Westen’s goal was to clear the invasive species and replant the site with native seeds – creating a healthier, more vibrant habitat for both visitors and wildlife. Read more
