Medicago sativa

Winter King II Alfalfa
Winter King II alfalfa is an inexpensive variety ideal for the value minded grower with a three-cut cropping system. It not only delivers winter hardiness equal to Vernal Alfalfa, it also has disease resistance to Phytophthora Root Rot. In general, alfalfa is one of the highest yielding forage plants available. Where adapted, alfalfa does well alone or in a mixture with tall-growing grasses. Alfalfa produces best on well-drained soil with good water holding capacity and pH of 6.5 or above. It is long-lived and drought resistant. This seed has a protective coating and comes pre-inoculated with rhizobacteria.
