Tetradark

Tetradark Tetraploid Turf-Type Perennial Ryegrass is part of the new 4turf® ryegrass program. With double the chromosome number, Tetradark’s DNA offers many unique benefits.  4turf® is a new generation of tetraploid perennial ryegrass varieties, developed by DLF research & development to be quick establishing, strong, deep-rooting and tolerant to stress. 4turf® is better able to withstand a range of stressful conditions such as drought, cold, disease, and wear. The larger seeds contain more reserves for stronger, faster establishment especially in the cold. It has a deeper crown and superior rooting to help with drought resistance and recover. Tetradark has darker color than other 4turf® varieties and moderate density enabling it to blend better with turf-type tall fescue, Kentucky bluegrass, diploid perennial ryegrass and fine fescues. Tetradark establishes faster and gives you thick green turf all through the year. Tetradark has superior Red Thread and Dolar Spot Resistance. It germinates and grows under high saline conditions.
