Winter Camelina

Winter Camelina is a very winter-hardy annual brassica and industrial oilseed crop that can be used as a cover crop to aid in erosion control, compaction alleviation, and scavenging nutrients in the fall and early spring. Because of its low C:N ratio, Camelina has a low risk of nutrient tie-up in the spring and will decompose quickly after spring termination compared to winter cereal grains.
