Prairie Coneflower

Prairie Coneflower is a native perennial that is sometimes referred to as a "Mexican hat" or "yellow Mexican hat" because of its yellow flower and sombrero hat shape. It grows well in loam, sandy loam or clayey soils. Best if sown in early spring when temperatures are between 68 to 86 degrees Fahrenheit. Utilized for roadside plantings, parks and recreational areas.
