Crested Wheatgrass
Crested wheatgrass is a cool season, drought tolerant and winter hardy perennial grass with an extensive root system. Crested wheatgrass has a fibrous root system and excellent seedling vigor. It is best planted in arid sections of the western US. Wheatgrass is commonly used for winter forage by cattle and horses and produces excellent forage yields in areas where it is well adapted.
