Fine Fescue

Four grasses go under the common name of fine fescue: chewings fescue, creeping red fescue, sheep fescue and hard fescue. All survive extreme cold and combine well with other cool season grasses. Hard fescue has a strong bunching habit that makes it appear less refined than other lawn grasses, but will persist in difficult sites that are unusually cold, windy and dry.

Chantilly is a beautiful strong creeping red fescue resulting from recurrent selections and crosses using plants from persistent older turfs.

Leonidas is a versatile grass that will help reduce maintenance costs whether planted in a monostand or a mixture. It has shown excellent turf quality whether unmown or managed as a lawn or fairway.
