Balin

Balin Kentucky bluegrass has medium-early maturity and offers high yields with strong growth in early spring as well as during summertime. It has good persistent and winterhardiness, providing a high yield in permanent pastures, where it competes well with other forage grasses as a tall-growing variety. It is high in forage quality and palatibility and tolerates close grazing. Balin has medium drought tolerance. If there is moisture available, it will stay green into the summer season almost as long as tall fescue.
