Schedonorus arundinaceus

Raceway
Raceway (DLFPS-321/3696) turf-type tall fescue (Schedonorus arundinaceus = Festuce arundinacea) is a dwarf, fine textured tall fescue that is extremely versatile. It was selected from progeny turf plots in Kentucky that showed high resistance to Brown patch and other diseases, while maintaining the highest turf quality. The result is a cultivar with high resistance to Gray Leaf Spot and Pythium Blight in addition to Brown Patch as well as drought and heat tolerance. The plants leading to Raceway were screened over many generations in Kentucky, New Jersey and Oregon for stress tolerance, disease resistance and high tiller numbers. Raceway is a survivor
