Copperhead (DLF-460/3048) seeded turf-type bermudagrass (Cyndon dactylon var. dacytlon) has demonstrated excellent turf quality for homes, parks and sports fields. It has rapid establishment and superior drought tolerance. Copperhead has dark green color, medium fine leaf texture and good spring dead spot resistance. It is an excellent choice for any location a seeded bermdagrass is grown. Copperhead has shown superior performance grown with saline water and high performance from the Southeast to the Southwest. The genetic background includes material selected for superior winter hardiness for Transition Zone performance.
