Festuca arundinacea

Triumphant Protek

Triumphant Protek

Triumphant Protek® is a premium forage tall fescue variety enhanced with the Protek® novel endophyte for superior persistence and livestock safety. Developed through rigorous selection for early maturity, vigor, and high forage yield, Triumphant Protek® excels in both fall and winter growth, ensuring abundant, high-quality forage throughout the seasons. Its genetic foundation, derived from ‘AU Triumph’ and ‘Duramax,’ provides excellent adaptability and post-harvest regrowth. Unlike traditional endophytes, Protek® (Neotyphodium coenophiallum) does not produce harmful ergot alkaloids like toxic ergovaline, ensuring safe, nutritious forage that supports optimal animal performance.

Designed for regions where early-season production is key, Triumphant Protek® allows livestock to transition to pasture sooner, reducing dependence on costly stored winter feed. Baleage producers benefit from its early cutting potential, while its rapid fall regrowth ensures a plentiful stockpile for extended grazing into winter. The addition of the Protek® endophyte enhances the plant’s stress tolerance, improving stand persistence without sacrificing palatability or nutritional value.
