Lolium perenne

Mathilde

Mathilde

This variety fits well into mixtures for long-term pastures or temporary grassland. It has everything needed for such management systems like very good winterhardiness, good persistence and performs even excellent on perennial ryegrass disadvantageous locations. This is a variety for the tough job on grassland! Mathilde is also one of the new tetraploid types with very good density - like diploid varieties! This means that the tetraploid proportion in a mixture can be increased due to the dense new tetraploid varieties like Mathilde and therefore the overall quality will rise.
