Deer Corn

Deer Corn

Deer Corn is a variety of corn bred for grain production. This high energy grain is not only an important energy source for deer, it can also provide thermal cover and a great bedding spot when left to stand. This warm season annual grass is best planted once soil temperatures have warmed to above 60 degrees Fahrenheit for ideal germination and growth. Deer Corn prefers rich, fertile soil situated in full sunlight. Depending on geography, temperature and moisture, actual calendar days will vary from about 95 - 120 days to produce ripe field corn. This corn is not recommended in the Transitional or Southern Zone unless fall planted with adequate moisture or early spring plantings for quick corn production. Deer Corn is not RoundUp Ready. This product is treated; do not use for food, feed, or oil purposes. Store away from feeds or other foodstuffs.
