Festulolium Products

DLF leads in Festulolium research, offering unique crosses of fescue and ryegrass. Our 4N types deliver early growth, high yield, and persistence, while 6N types provide excellent forage quality and resilience. Both enhance pastures and hay fields with superior performance.

Achilles

Achilles ryegrass-type festulolium is a cross between Italian ryegrass and meadow fescue. The result is a variety with very vigorous spring growth and after cutting, but at the same time also demonstrates good persistence.

Fojtan

Fojtan Festulolium was bred in the DLF Festulolium breeding program located in the Czech Republic. Fojtan is different from most festuloliums on the market in that it has a tall fescue in the hybrid cross rather than the traditional meadow fescue.

Hostyn

Hostyn is a ryegrass type of festulolium - based on a crossing between Italian ryegrass and meadow fescue. This results in a combination of high yield and good persistency.

Lofa

Lofa was developed in the Czech Republic by crossing Italian Ryegrass with tall fescue. Selection was then based on ryegrass type plants showing high forage quality and fast growth.

Mahulena

Mahulena is a festulolium dressed like a tall fescue. A top-yielding variety combined with early maturity and excellent persistency, but better feeding quality. 

Perseus

Perseus is a dynamic, high yielding festulolium (meadow fescue x Italian ryegrass).

Perun

Perun sets the standards when it comes to high yielding fast establishing festulolium. Perun is a Tetraploid Festulolium derived from crosses between Italian ryegrass and Meadow fescue.
