Soil First 125 N-Hancer is a robust legume-based cover crop mix designed to boost nitrogen levels and biomass with minimal spring management. This mix serves as an excellent nitrogen source before grass cash crops, requiring less intensive spring upkeep. Oats act as both a carrier and a stabilizer, preventing nitrogen leaching. Nitrogen production will vary depending on factors like planting date, climate, and spring termination timing. Additionally, the heavy legume content makes it suitable for grazing, offering high protein and digestibility for livestock.

TERMINATION
In most environments, only the clovers will demand spring control. Both crimson and balansa clovers can be successfully terminated with glyphosate and 2,4-D. Radish will terminate with multiple nights in the teens. If radishes survive, glyphosate and 2,4-D provide effective control.
CONSIDERATIONS
Early planting is the goal with SF 125. More biomass equals greater nitrogen contribution. Because of peas’ larger seed size, broadcast or aerial applications are not recommended.
