FF 4020.HG is a Hi-Gest® alfalfa variety developed for producers who demand premium forage quality, improved digestibility, and strong yield performance. Developed through conventional plant breeding, Hi-Gest technology delivers a 5-8% higher leaf-to-stem ratio, improved fiber digestibility, and enhanced animal performance compared to conventional alfalfa varieties. The higher leaf content contributes to increased crude protein and forage quality, giving producers the flexibility to maintain a normal cutting schedule for exceptional feed quality or delay harvest by up to seven days to capture additional yield potential. FF 4020.HG also features an upgraded disease resistance package, including High Resistance (HR) to multi-race Aphanomyces, supporting stand persistence and productivity in challenging environments. Broadly adapted from west to east, FF 4020.HG performs across a wide range of soil types and growing conditions, making it an excellent choice where the highest levels of forage quality, digestibility, and overall performance are required.
