AFX 647 Hi-Salt Alfalfa is a semi-dormant variety designed for high yields and superior forage quality, even in tough soils with salinity challenges. This variety exhibits a 4% yield advantage over Cisco II in alfalfa trials and is well-suited to the transitional zone between dormant and non-dormant alfalfas. AFX 647 adapts to a wide range of soil types, production practices, and harvest systems. It features medium harvest maturity, fast recovery after cutting, and persistence for medium to long rotations, making it an ideal choice for fall dormancy class 6 environments.
