AFX 317 is specially adapted for the Northern Great Plains and higher elevations of the Intermountain West, where salinity may restrict production. With excellent yield potential in both saline and non-saline soils, this variety offers a 35/35 disease and pest resistance package, providing high resistance to anthracnose, aphanomyces (Race 1 and 2), bacterial wilt, fusarium wilt, phytophthora root rot, and verticillium wilt. AFX 317 is ideal for a 2-4 cut system for hay, silage, or grazing, and its exceptional winter hardiness supports longer rotations. With medium-late harvest maturity, it is a versatile option for challenging environments.
