ERAGROSTIS TEF

Teff Grass

Teff Grass

Teff grass is a warm season, annual forage grass. It has seen significant gains in popularity in the last few years because it produces very fine stemmed, leafy, and soft forage that is highly palatable to livestock. With its rapid growth, it is an impressive high yielding performer that is commonly grown as dry hay, silage, or for grazing. It is usually ready to be harvested 45-55 days after planting with subsequent cuttings 28-35 days later. This crop does not tolerate frost and needs to be planted after all chances of frost have passed. Growers Note: This seed has a protective coating. Coating the seed helps aid in germination and establishment.
