Sorghastrum nutans

Upland Native Grass Mix
Deer Creeks Upland Native Mix is best suited for uplands and well-drained soils but can also grow well in occasionally wet locations. Once established, the species in this mix can handle wet springs and occasionally droughty summers. These beautiful native grasses once dominated the prairies of the Midwestern, Central and Eastern United States and can still be found growing across the region in state parks, wildlife refuges, public hunting areas, and even roadside ditches! Cold hardy and attractive, these grasses will reach average heights between 3 and 6 feet.
