Trifolium repens

Heslop

Heslop

Heslop Ladino Clover is a high-yielding, large-leaf white clover variety developed by DLF USA for superior vigor, persistence, and uniformity. Selected from a 26-plant polycross, Heslop was bred for enhanced flower density, strong plant structure, and excellent adaptability. It has been trialed in public university yield tests in Lexington, Kentucky, and Rock Springs, Pennsylvania, demonstrating its suitability for hay production in the East Central USA. With a balanced maturity timeline—flowering three days earlier than Jumbo and six days later than Dutch White—Heslop provides a reliable forage option for producers seeking high-quality clover.

As a ladino-type white clover, Heslop delivers exceptional forage quality with its large leaves and robust growth habit. Its strong persistence ensures long-term productivity in hay systems, making it an ideal component in mixed forage stands. Whether used in pasture blends or dedicated clover fields, Heslop offers excellent palatability and feed value, supporting healthy livestock performance.
